The camp's task was to restore Lindalstorpet, an old smoke cabin in Svullrya (Norway), village of the
Grue Finnskog region. The latter is part of the hilly forested ares characterised by the vernacular building heritage of the finns who settled since the 16th century. The settlers built log houses according to their own tradition, different if compared with the norwegian one.
The tasks I have been involved in were the making of wooden holders to lift the roof, the shaping of new beams to add a new one and to substitute a rotten one by rough hewing and the assembly of big flat stones to build up the foundations.
